Kenya Peaberry coffee description
Savour the sweet and fruity flavours of jaffa cakes, rhubarb, blackcurrants and milk chocolate.
While the majority of coffee cherries grow to contain two beans, a random genetic mutation of five to ten per cent of cherries form with just one oval or circular shaped bean.
These smaller beans are sorted through the farm’s processing plant, separated according to size and weight. Interestingly, the percentage of peaberry mutation is dependent on rainfall and heat – the higher the heat, and lower the rainfall, the more peaberries.
